Hi, I am just starting out in this and I have been reading all of the info that I can find. It is a bit overwhelming when you don't know anything or where to start. I do not even have a web site yet. Is there a guide to show how to do everything to get started from building the first web site to opening up shop. Thanks

The opportunities to make money with websites are endless. If you really want to start out on a safe bicycle with training wheels, I would suggest going to MySpace and creating yourself a profile.

Then take a second step by learning how to customize your own profile with a unique look and feel. If you do that, you can master some very simple things like changing colors of text, putting a picture on a page, backgrounds, etc.

After that you can bone up on addditional skills. If you want to run a website about porn, that's great. Websites can be about anything. I suggest that you pick subjects you enjoy. Then you'll love waking up and starting work every morning.

Here's a brand new book that's pretty good - Head First HTML with CSS & XHTML from O'Reilly & Associates (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/059610197X/). Another thing I learned when I was getting started under poverty conditions, buy your computer books off Amazon as they are all heavily discounted and they do not collect sales tax.
