AMG Wraps Production on new Hardcore Film - "AMG RESURRECTION"
El Cerrito, California – July 28, 2005: Porn pioneer Athletic Model Guild (AMG) has announced today the completion of the first new hardcore production from the 60-year old studio. "AMG RESURRECTION" stars superstars JASON ADONIS, FILIPPO ROMANO, TIMMY THOMAS, and newcomer CHAD LEIGH in the starring role opposite Adonis. The film also stars CHRIS CRAWFORD, ROSS STUART, and AMG newcomers CALEB CARTER, and BEN STEFFANI. AMG RESURRECTION is the first hardcore production to feature Jason Adonis in a full starring role. He plays a posingstrap-clad 1950s physique model who is worshipped by two different guys in two different decades. Says Jason "I am really happy with the way this movie has turned out. AMG RESURRECTION will launch a new flagship line of hardcore productions for Athletic Model Guild. "Bob Mizer had been photographing and filming nude men since the mid 1940s", says Dennis Bell, AMG's President and Executive Producer. "But because he was so ingrained in his techniques of shooting, he couldn't keep up with other new studios when the laws changed in 1968 permitting male frontal nudity. Now with a new generation at AMG's helm, the AMG brand can continue bringing new material to meet the modern demand for quality hardcore."*
The movie spans two generations and moves in time between the 1950s, 1980s, and modern day. "Two generations ago, our ancestors had to stash their gay porn in secret hiding places like under floorboards in the attic, or in the wall of the garden shed, because if they ever got caught with gay material, the repercussions would be mortifying," says Dennis Bell, AMG's President and Executive Producer. "So this film is about hiding places like that and the mentality of that time against gays. One of my favorite scenes is set in a 1950s porn shop, where the perverted straight owner (played by Wayne Stanley - the original heir of AMG who sold the company to Bell last year) throws out the young man who brought gay films into the shop. Wayne really had to work to play that part, for although he is perverted, he certainly isn't straight. And Wayne acting straight is REAL acting!"
But it isn't all history. The sex is hotter than anything ever released by AMG! The story spans two generations of family that have the hots for the same physique model, played by Jason Adonis. Chad Leigh plays the modern day grandson who discovers his grandfather's secret stash, including a posing strap hidden 50 years ago. AMG has a wealth of material to pull from. "Although Bob Mizer, the original AMG founder, could never show full sexual situations in the 1950s, we can borrow his ideas and build from that," says Bell. "AMG RESURRECTION pays homage to Mizer's work, without trying to imitate it. We have incorporated some of his original film work into this production, but have been able to carry it further .. to show what may have happened when the camera were turned off." The original AMG film "Aztec Sacrifice", created in the late 1950s, is projected by Chad Leigh, who falls asleep and enters the film in a dream .. becoming the object of sacrifice by Aztec chief Filippo Romano and slave Ben Steffani. Another scene focuses on Mizer's 1980s video series called Anal Erotic (A&E) where the guys spread their cheeks and make their assholes talk. "In our version, we go a lot farther than Mizer ever dared," says Bell, referring to the wide array of butt play toys used in that scene.
Several of Bob Mizer's original props pollinate the film as well. "The sword that Jason holds on the box cover was used in Mizer's late 1960's films. The tiki masks and ship's wheel that appear elsewhere in the movie are also directly from the prop room of the old AMG estate. When Chad goes to his computer in another scene, we see Mizer's mother's original Heywood-Wakefield desk, and some cast iron bookends and books that were used in several early 1970s films.
